Teacher from Yaroslavl wins III All-Russian Olympiad “PRO-IT” for computer science teachers

The results of the All-Russian Professional Olympiad “PRO-IT” for computer science teachers were announced at the closing ceremony in Moscow on May 13, 2023. Evgeny Morokh, a teacher from Yaroslavl, became the winner.

The laureates of the Olympiad are: Evgeny Albrant (Republic of Khakassia), Irina Bass (Tyumen Region), Anton Lagutin (Moscow Region), Konstantin Lissovsky (Bryansk Region).

“ ‘PRO-IT’ for me is a great experience, new friends and wonderful people,” said the winner Evgeny Morokh.

“Taking part in competitions and Olympiads for teachers is a nonconventional way of professional development because, while leaving your comfort zone, you do things untypical of everyday life. You reach a new level as a teacher,” said a laureate Irina Bass.

“The Olympiad for me is, first of all, fascinating meetings with professionals, with teachers that can inspire you with their energy and share their experience with others,” said Evgeny Albrant, a laureate.

The final stage of the “PRO-IT” Olympiad was held in Moscow from 11 to 13 May, 2023. The Olympiad was organized by the Academy of the Ministry of Education of Russia together with Yandex.Textbook.

61 winners of on-site regional stages took part in the finals. The teachers made and defended their final projects, took part in a workshop and visited the Yandex office, where they were given a tour and lectures, and the winners and runners-up of the Olympiad got presents.  

The professional competitions for teachers founded by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation include four subject areas: the “PRO-IT” Olympiad for computer science teachers, the “DNA of Science” Olympiad for teachers of natural sciences, the “Big Country Team” Meta-disciplinary Olympiad, and the “Guardians of the Russian Language” Olympiad for teachers of the Russian Language.
