The administrative team of the Artek International Children’s Center School took part in the seminar “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia: from self-diagnosis to the development strategy” held at the Academy of the Ministry of Education of Russia on June 17- 20, 2023. The Artek School pilots the project “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia”.
As part of the training, managers studied self-diagnostic tools and key criteria for comprehensive assessment of the quality of education. Experts of the Academy of the Ministry of Education of Russia presented the mechanism of methodological support for teachers within the project “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” as well as digital tools and other developments of the Academy to assist educators, such as the Library of Digital Educational Content, multifunctional digital service Oprosnikum and others.
One of the venues of the seminar was the Institute for Education Development Strategy, where the Artek team was updated on the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards and Federal Basic Educational Programs and drafted school curriculum using the digital services developed at the Institute.
The Artek managers also visited the Gymnasium named after Podolsk Cadets (Moscow Region) to analyze how the “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” project is carried out in practice, and studied the school development program, which is the school’s key strategic document.
At the end of the training, the Artek team observed the deficits and risks identified during the self-diagnosis and worked out management solutions to address them.
The experience of the Academy’s work with the Artek School administrative team will help accomplish the “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” project in other children’s centers of the Russian Federation.
