The All-Russian meeting with regional officials responsible for the implementation of the project “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Education of Russia on November 17, 2023.
Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Anastasia Zyryanova sent a welcome video message to the participants of the event: “The project “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” has already counted two years; during this time, we have managed to do a lot together to strengthen the unified educational space and the educational sovereignty of Russia, improve the quality of education, and preserve traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. The school of the Ministry of Education of Russia is a model of an educational organization that knows, understands and accepts the priorities of state policy, is a reliable bridge between the family and the state, and is based on the traditions and achievements of Russian pedagogical science,” she said.
At the plenary session of the meeting the key issues of the project implementation were discussed. Alexander Reut, Head of Subdivision of the Department of State Policy and Management in the Sphere of General Education of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, presented the project as a systematizing mechanism for strengthening educational sovereignty.
“We all see that regional responsible officials and regions in general have accepted the project. Practices from different regions are transmitted, which serve as a reference point for other regions. Our main goal is to ensure that every pupil in every school receives a quality education regardless of the school they attend and their parents’ social status and income. To achieve this goal the project is aimed at creating a motivating educational environment and a favorable school climate, as well as developing school management teams,” he said.
Maxim Kostenko, Acting Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Education of Russia, spoke about the sovereign system of school education and project management at the federal level in 2023: “Today we are rethinking and updating the content of education, building a value-oriented education system. “School of the Ministry of Education of Russia” means creating infrastructure and setting the standard and quality of the process of organizing education and upbringing. At the time of emerging challenges, it is crucial to introduce this standard to each school. Ideas, meanings, values embedded in the concept of the project should be embodied in the activities of each school.”
To analyze the results of the survey on the progress of the project implementation specialists from the Academy conducted individual interviews with regional responsible officials, where growth points for each region were identified. In addition, a special broadcast of the seminar “Education Vector: Challenges, Trends, Prospects” that focused on school self-diagnostics as a tool for managing results in education was held during the meeting.
The participants of the meeting were also presented the School Principal’s Handbook and the digital designer of school development programs. At the end of the meeting, the participants were familiarized with the interim results of the Olympiad “Management Teams of “Schools of the Ministry of Education of Russia”: Management Pentathlon” and plans for the project implementation in 2024.
